The Tommy Gate Flatbed, Stake and Van Original Series of liftgates continues the commitment to quality and durability that the company has maintained since 1965. The Flatbed, Stake and Van Series utilizes a heavy-duty lift cable (wire rope) system to load and unload today's work truck bodies.

Capacities: 1000, 1300, and 1600lbs

The Curb-side Fixed Control has a toggle style switch with a steel shield. To help prevent unauthorized use, the timer deactivates the control 90 seconds after last operation.

Original Series liftgates lift and lower by way of a full-size electric motor and hydraulic pump which in turn retract and extend the lift cables, raising and lowering the platform

All Flatbed, Stake and Van Original Series liftgates have maximum ground-to-loading bed height of 50 inches.

Tommy Gate's Flatbed, Stake & Van Original Series liftgates are compatible with many frame-mounted receiver-style trailer hitches.

For models with capacities of 1300 lbs and greater, the platform can be 'dropped' for easier dock and forklift loading, depending on bed height.

To assist in opening and closing the platform, a Torsion Bar is built into each platform. The newly redesigned Torsion Bar cuts the effort needed to close a Treadplate Steel platform by nearly 70%
