For a heavy-duty service or utility body application, Tommy Gate offers the G2 Series of liftgates with lifting capacities of 1300 and 1600 lbs. The G2 utilizes a heavy-duty dual cylinder design to deliver direct power to both sides of the platform so lifting and lowering is smooth, stable and even.

Heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders on each side of the platform assure a strong and stable platform. A single-cylinder system can torque or twist - dual cylinders keep the platform stable and even as it travels.

Streamlined uprights allow for a wide opening into the truck bed while keeping the cylinders easily accessible for maintenance.
The uprights are engineered to be as narrow as possible to allow the widest clear opening into the truck bed, as well as to allow the cylinders to be removed through caps on the uprights.

Each G2 Series liftgate features a lockable platform latch.

Liftgate brackets ensure a quick and proper installation.

Treadplate steel is the standard platform material

Platform material options include: Extruded aluminum, Tommy Traction, and the folding F11 extension
